Belize photo specifications
Photo sizes and rules for 3 documents issued in Belize, taken from the issuing authorities and linked to their official pages.
At a glance
Belize asks for printed photos, not uploads. A passport needs one 2 x 2 inch (50.8 x 50.8 mm) photo on white, less than 6 months old. Permanent residence needs 2 photos of the same size per person. Visa applications at Belizean missions ask for a "passport size photograph", and no visa photo size is published.
Overview
Three Belize documents are covered here. Passports and residence are handled by the Immigration department of the Ministry of Immigration, Governance and Labour, which publishes a photo specification for passports and a photo line in its residence document lists. Visas are decided by the same department but applied for at its offices or at Belizean missions abroad, and the mission pages are where a photograph is mentioned.
All three are paper processes. You bring or send a printed photo with the form, and for a passport your face is also captured at the appointment. The Qualified Retirement Program, run by the Belize Tourism Board, has its own wording: two 2 x 2 inch photos, one notarised or certified. When an official page gives no photo rule, as for visas, the document page says so rather than guessing.

Frequently asked questions
2 x 2 inches (50.8 x 50.8 mm). The Immigration department publishes that size for passports and residence applications, and the Qualified Retirement Program uses it too. No size is published for visa photographs.
No upload route is described. Passport applications are made in person at an Immigration Office or a Belizean mission, and you hand in a printed photo. Residence applications are paper files submitted at an Immigration Office.
A passport needs one photo. Permanent residence needs two for each person on the application, and the Qualified Retirement Program needs two per person with one notarised or certified. Visa applications at the missions ask for one passport size photograph.
Not for passports: glasses, tinted shades and sunglasses are banned. The Qualified Retirement Program form says preferably no glasses or shades. No visa or permanent residence page gives a glasses rule, so take them off.
