The Bermuda passport is the BOTC (Bermuda) passport, applied for through the Department of Immigration on a printed form. It needs 2 photographs, one countersigned, and the department refers to the GOV.UK printed-photo rules: 35 x 45 mm, head 29 to 34 mm, plain cream or light grey background, taken in the last month.

Overview

Residents of Bermuda who are British Overseas Territories citizens hold a BOTC (Bermuda) passport. The Government of Bermuda's Department of Immigration takes the applications, which are a downloaded, single-sided paper form with original documents, a payment receipt and two photographs, one of them countersigned. Applications are processed through HM Passport Office in the UK, according to a 2022 ministerial statement on gov.bm.

Bermuda does not publish its own photo specification. Its pages link to the GOV.UK rules for printed passport photos, which ask for two identical prints of 35 x 45 mm with a head height of 29 to 34 mm. Some residents also hold a British citizen passport, which is a different document: it is issued by HM Passport Office, and GOV.UK has an overseas application service for it.
