At a glance

Lesotho has one document page here, the e-visa photo, handled by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The ministry publishes no photo size, pixel or file rules, and its e-visa page currently reads "eVISA Applications System Suspended" with an email address for applications. The 2 x 2 inch (51 x 51 mm) square used for e-visa photos has no official basis in the pages read.

Overview

The Ministry of Home Affairs runs visas, passports and civil registration for Lesotho, and its Immigration Services department deals with visas. Foreign visitors are told to obtain a visa through the Lesotho e-visa system first, unless their country has a visa abolition agreement or they come from certain Commonwealth countries.

Photo guidance is the weak point. The ministry's published visa requirements list no photograph, and the e-visa application system is currently marked suspended with an email address given instead. An older website, evisalesotho, once carried the upload rules but no longer loads, so any site claiming to process a Lesotho e-visa deserves suspicion.
