Vanuatu photo specifications
Photo sizes and rules for 1 document issued in Vanuatu, taken from the issuing authorities and linked to their official pages.
At a glance
Vanuatu citizens hold a Vanuatu passport issued by the Department of Immigration and Passport Services. Its older passport page gives a photo size of 3.5 x 4.5 cm (35 x 45 mm); its current page describes enrolment with a dress code and no size. Replacements ask for two identical prints under 6 months old. No background colour or head size is published.
Overview
Vanuatu has one document page here, the passport. The Department of Immigration and Passport Services issues it, and applications are lodged at the Port Vila office or at a provincial office in Sanma, Penama or Tafea. Since 2024 the Government has moved to an electronic passport system, and the Department now describes an enrolment process for new passports.
Photo rules therefore depend on the stage. The older page asks for two recent prints within 3.5 x 4.5 cm with an identity witness signing the back. The enrolment page asks for no prints but sets appearance and dress rules. A replacement for a lost, damaged or expired passport still asks for two identical prints. Check with the Immigration office which applies to you.
