Australia ImmiCard photo requirements
The photo rules set by Department of Home Affairs for the Australia ImmiCard, with the official wording and sources.
Quick answer
What are the Australia ImmiCard photo requirements?
The ImmiCard photo is a passport-quality, vertical 1200 x 1600 pixel JPEG of no more than 500 KB, taken within the last 6 months against an 18% grey backdrop. Show your full head, neck and shoulders with a neutral expression, eyes open and mouth closed.
An ImmiCard is an identity card the Department of Home Affairs issues to some visa holders who do not have a passport to prove their identity. A digital photo is supplied with the application.
The ImmiCard's 500 KB limit is much smaller than the 70 KB to 3.5 MB allowed for citizenship photo uploads, and the grey backdrop is darker than the plain light backgrounds used elsewhere, so a separate file should be made for the ImmiCard rather than reusing another photo.
