At a glance

Tuvalu citizens hold a Tuvalu passport issued by a Passport Officer in Funafuti. The Passports Regulations ask for two recent printed photographs of 2 inches by 1½ inches (about 51 x 38 mm), taken full face without a hat, with the back of one copy certified by a witness. No background colour or head size is published.

Overview

Tuvalu has one document page here, the passport. It is issued under the Passports Act and the Passports Regulations by a Passport Officer, and new passports are issued only from Funafuti. Missions abroad cannot issue a new passport, although they can extend one to its second 5-year term.

Photos are submitted on paper with a signed and witnessed application form, not uploaded. Adults apply on Form 1A and children under 18 on Form 1B. The Regulations ask for two prints that are not mounted, with a true-likeness statement written on the back of one by the witness. Everything else, including background colour, glasses and head size, is unpublished, so check with the Immigration Office before you print.
