Cambodia photo specifications
Photo sizes and rules for 2 documents issued in Cambodia, taken from the issuing authorities and linked to their official pages.
At a glance
Cambodian passports come from the Ministry of Interior's General Department of Identification, and its checklist names ID papers but no photograph or photo size. Visas come under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: the e-Visa takes a recent passport-size JPEG or PNG upload, while embassy applications in London and Berlin need one 35 x 45 mm print taken within 6 months.
Overview
Two ministries handle the documents covered here. The ordinary passport is a matter for citizens and is issued in Cambodia by the Passport Department of the General Department of Identification (GDI). Applicants bring identity and residence papers, and the GDI list sets no photo format. According to the Berlin embassy, citizens abroad apply through relatives in Cambodia with an embassy attestation letter, or travel home on a laissez-passer.
Visas for foreign visitors are a foreign ministry matter. The official e-Visa portal, evisa.gov.kh, handles Tourist and Business visas online with a digital photo. Embassy applications use a printed photo instead, and since 3 October 2026 all approved visas are issued electronically rather than as passport stickers.
