Cameroon photo specifications
Photo sizes and rules for 2 documents issued in Cameroon, taken from the issuing authorities and linked to their official pages.
At a glance
Cameroon photographs applicants itself for both of its main documents. The biometric passport, issued by the DGSN through the PassCam portal, is photographed at an enrolment centre in Cameroon or at an embassy. The visa, applied for on evisacam.cm, is photographed at the embassy or at the border when the sticker is affixed. Neither has a published print size; 4 x 4 cm (40 x 40 mm) prints are asked for laissez-passer travel documents in London and Marseille.
Overview
Two separate systems handle Cameroon's travel documents. Passports for citizens are issued by the Délégation Générale à la Sûreté Nationale (DGSN) and produced in Yaoundé: applicants pre-enrol on PassCam, then give their photo, fingerprints and signature at a regional immigration office or a mission abroad. Visas for foreign visitors have gone through evisacam.cm since 30 April 2023, following announcements by the Ministry of External Relations, with the photo and fingerprints taken at a mission or on arrival. Printed photos survive at the edges, for consular cards, laissez-passer and some diplomatic visas.

Frequently asked questions
Not for the passport or an ordinary visa, which are photographed at enrolment. Prints are still asked for related papers: a consular card in Washington (passport-size, colour, white background), and an emergency travel document or laissez-passer in London and Marseille (4 x 4 cm).
Passports are issued by the DGSN, with applications through PassCam and enrolment at immigration offices in Cameroon or at missions abroad. Visas are applied for on the evisacam.cm platform and issued by Cameroon's embassies and consulates or at the border.
Both photos are captured in person, so neither has a published size. The difference is who attends: passport applicants book enrolment through PassCam, while visa applicants enrol at the mission that affixes the sticker or at the border post on arrival.
A travel document for citizens without a valid passport, valid for a one-way trip to Cameroon only. Missions set their own photo rules: two 4 x 4 cm prints in London and Marseille, and two colour prints on white in Washington.
