At a glance

Tajik citizens use 3.5 x 4.5 cm (35 x 45 mm) prints: four for a biometric passport at the embassy in London and one black-and-white print for a first ID card. Visitors applying for the e-visa on evisa.tj attach files of up to 1 MB, preferably JPEG; no photo size or background is published for it.

Overview

Tajikistan's passport photos are paper prints. The Ministry of Internal Affairs issues the ID card and most foreign passports at home, while embassies and consular offices serve citizens abroad and publish their own document lists. Foreign visitors deal with a different system: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs runs the e-visa portal evisa.tj, which works entirely with uploaded files. Background colours are not published for either, so each page explains what is and is not confirmed.
