Moldova photo specifications
Photo sizes and rules for 3 documents issued in Moldova, taken from the issuing authorities and linked to their official pages.
At a glance
Moldova photographs its citizens itself: ID cards and passports are captured at Public Services Agency counters and consulates, and ASP names a 10 x 15 cm print only for seriously ill hospital patients. Visas need one recent matte colour photo of 35 x 45 mm. Work permits are less clear: the migration inspectorate lists a colour 3x4 photo, while an older ministry page names 50 x 60 mm on white.
Overview
Three Moldovan bodies handle the documents covered here. The Public Services Agency (ASP) issues identity cards and passports to citizens. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues visas through its missions and an e-visa portal. The General Inspectorate for Migration (IGM) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs grants foreigners the right of stay and issues residence permits, while the National Employment Agency grants the right to work.
For citizens, the usual answer is that you bring no photo: ASP captures the facial image at the counter, at home and at consulates abroad, against a white background. Foreign visitors bring a print for a visa, and the photo for work and residence permits is where official sources disagree, so each document page explains which size the issuing body lists.

IGM's current lists say 3x4 without a unit, while an undated Ministry of Foreign Affairs page says 50 x 60 mm for the employer's file with ANOFM. The long-stay employment visa uses 35 x 45 mm. Confirm with the office handling your case.
