At a glance

The Comoros publishes little about photo sizes. For the passport and the national identity card, the Brussels embassy asks for 2 recent photos, head bare and ears visible, with no size given. For a visa, embassy business and courtesy lists ask for 2 photos of 50 x 70 mm, and airport visas are photographed at a biometric desk.

Overview

Three documents are covered here: the biometric passport, the national identity card and the visa. The passport and the card are issued to Comorian nationals, with applications abroad made at a Comorian embassy; the identity card law names the Director General of the Sûreté nationale du territoire as the issuing authority. Visas are issued by the Minister of the Interior and, on delegation, by embassies, and many are issued at the airport.

The photos differ by document. Passports and cards take printed photos brought to the appointment, with fingerprints enrolled in person. Embassy visas take 50 mm x 70 mm prints. Airport visas take no print, because enrolment at the airport includes a photo.
