At a glance
The Jamaican document covered here is the passport, issued by the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA). Its photo is 35 x 45 mm in colour, taken in the last 6 months, and you send two identical prints with the form. Adults renewing an expiring passport can upload a digital photo on PICA's online portal instead.
Overview
The Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) is Jamaica's single authority for passports, immigration and citizenship. It issues ePassports valid for ten years for adults and five years for children, and takes applications at its offices in Kingston and around the island.
Jamaicans abroad apply through the nearest embassy, high commission or consulate, which accept paper applications and point eligible adults to PICA's online renewal portal. Whatever the route, the photo rules come from PICA, and one of the two photographs normally has to be certified by an authorised person.
