At a glance

Martinique uses the French passport. Its photo is a single paper print of 35 x 45 mm from an authorised photographer or booth, brought by you, because the island offers no counter photography. Filing is at an equipped town hall; in Fort-de-France you book online once your ANTS pre-application number is in hand. The face measures 32 to 36 mm and the background is light, never white.

Overview

The passport of Martinique is the French passport. It is applied for in person at a town hall with a collection device, where fingerprints are recorded, and it is handed over at the town hall. A prefecture page updated in July 2022 said that all 34 communes would be equipped and that one of the two Antilles expertise centres would be based on the island.

Photo rules are national: 35 x 45 mm, under six months old, plain light backdrop, bare head, closed mouth. What is local is the practical side. Service-public says that on Martinique the applicant supplies the photo. Fort-de-France runs two reception sites and a booking tool; the passport page covers them, together with the notes on travelling to Saint Lucia on an identity card.
